"Pursue romantic encounters with female tourists...."

Galebari: 18th Anniversary Edition

6.4

Galebari is a Croatian term for men who pursue short-term romantic encounters with female tourists, typically foreigners. These individuals are often characterized by their physical attractiveness, confidence, and sociability, renowned for their charm and ability to impress foreign women. While some view their activities as ethically questionable, Galebari remain an integral part of the local cultural landscape.

This cultural phenomenon inspired a card game of the same name, originally released in 2006 and set in the 1980s and 1990s. The game’s 18th anniversary edition retains the original setting and artwork while introducing enhanced gameplay mechanics and adding a sixth playable character.

In this game, players take on the role of a “Galebar,” competing to attract the highest number of female tourists.

At its core, it’s a trick-taking card game with some role-playing elements. During gameplay, players use their unique set of cards representing pick-up lines to be the first to claim five girl cards. They can also upgrade their hand with additional pick-up line cards, introducing effects that increase their chances of winning in various ways.
